Despite my attempts to break the habit of cramming and procrastinating, I still fall in to the trap. I still cram for my papers (I am actually cramming for my Lit paper right now, and it’s actually very shitty), I pack my things at the last minute, and I have been holding off my general cleaning day for the longest time. I’m actually going to pull off an all-nighter just to finish this paper, and I do not actually care about what’s going to happen to me later during running class. HAHA.
Anyway, moving on with life, I just spent the last day of my long weekend with my friend Ria and a bunch of our batchmates in high school in Maginhawa. We had dinner at this mamihan that serves the best porksilog, and we hung out at this ice cream cafe that serves the coolest ice cream. We spent the evening catching up, and talking about random things. We also played cards. From today’s experience, I learned that the people you never imagined yourself to be friends with, are actually the people that are actually fun to hang out with. And college definitely has a way of changing people. So many things have changed since I’ve graduated high school. Stories about climbing mountains, gym class, and other awesome things were trending topics in our conversation over dinner, and the topic about boys creeps up once in a while in our conversation. Before, it used to be about school, school, school. Oh my, I think we have grown up in one way or another.
Oh yeah, to wrap things up, Maginhawa is the place to hang out, catch up and have fun. But I have yet to discover the hidden gems of this street. A second visit, perhaps? And maybe I should finish my Lit paper now. I am two pages away from finishing it.
