Last night, I was talking to my dad on the phone over random things, and I asked him this question, “Paano kung may manliligaw ako? Anong gagawin mo?” (So what if someone’s courting me? What are you going to do?)  He replied, “School first, save the boys after college. Friends first!” Suddenly, I brought up the idea of being friendzoned in our conversation last night, and apparently, my dad understood the idea of being friendzoned, which I found weird. And funny, considering the fact that he’s quite the old soul.  Maybe he’s checking 9GAG when I’m not around. But anyway, I love my dad, and he’s quite amazing.
