Hello, my name is Lea Angela Ona Bolante. You can call me Lea, but some people make up random nicknames for me, like Lee, Ley, or Lea Bols, and I am fine with it. I’m eighteen, a Filipino, and a college student taking up Interdisciplinary Studies at Ateneo de Manila University.

 I’m not really that tall (I stand at 5”2), but I’m pretty big. I’m big, in a sense that I’m a little heavier than other girls who have the same height as mine. My shoe size is an 8 and half, but my feet can squeeze into an 8 or a 9. I have curly hair, and I don’t have plans to have it straightened. I sometimes wish that my curls were a little tame, though. 

I have this habit of cramming and procrastinating, which I picked up in high school. I am slowly trying to break that habit, though.

When I was younger, I wanted to be a doctor, and then I wanted to be a lawyer. I also wanted to be a journalist, an art historian, and a magazine editor. I also wanted to be a fashion designer. And oh, I also wanted to be a hobo. 

I have a tendency to be all over the place. I get easily bored or distracted, and my mind’s focus shifts from one thing to another. I’m working on it, though.

I have a very, very short attention span, and I can’t keep still for a long time. 

I like to talk, a lot! But sometimes, my big mouth can sometimes bring the best or worst in me. 

I’m not very good at Math, however I find it strange that I could solve some Math problems in less than five minutes. 

When I was a high school senior, all my course choices in the colleges I applied for veered towards the field of media/humanities/social sciences. I’m actually happy with the course that I got accepted in, which is Interdisciplinary Studies. 

I’m not a really good writer, just saying. 

My comfort food consists of chocolate chip cookies and milk. 

Moving on, I love a lot of things. 

I love to read. When I was younger, I  love to curl up inside my bedroom and read whatever book I can get. However, as I got older, schoolwork and my incredibly short attention span got in the way. I’m slowly getting back my into my reading mojo, though. Anyway, my favorite books include: Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs by Chuck Klosterman, High Fidelity by Nick Hornby, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, Fight Club and Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk, Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel, and graphic novels such as Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi and Fun Home by Alison Bechdel. I also love the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid book series by Jeff Kinney. Right now, I am trying to build a book collection. 

I also love listening to music! My friends say that my musical taste is “too indie,” but I try to balance my love for indie bands by listening to other genres of music. Anyway, my favorite bands are The XX, Death Cab for Cutie, Maroon 5, Passion Pit, Arctic Monkeys, Friendly Fires, SBTRKT,Tahiti 80, Phoenix and Foster the People. I also love listening to Childish Gambino (I think I have his entire discography), The Cab, Gotye, Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Two Door Cinema Club, MGMT,The Weeknd, The Hush Sound, Drake, Jay-Z, Kanye West, John Mayer, Kid Cudi, Mayer Hawthorne, M83, Toro Y Moi,She and Him, The Beatles and Angus and Julia Stone.On the other hand, I love One Direction, Big Time Rush, Mike Posner, Justin Timberlake, and the Jonas Brothers. Anyway, Electric Feel, Islands, Long Distance Call, The Reeling, Freaks and Geeks are just some of my favorite songs from the artists/bands that I mentioned above. 

I like to sing, but there are times that I think that my voice sounds like “a bag of dying babies.” (insert Girls reference here) 

I don’t really watch TV anymore, but my favorite TV shows are Girls, Suits, Adventure Time, Legend of Korra, Community, and New Girl. I also watch Max and Ruby, which is a show on Nick Jr. Anyway, my favorite movies are Like Crazy, Despicable Me, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Valentine’s Day, The Hangover, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, 500 Days of Summer, and Tron: Legacy.
